Cagayan de Oro is the capital of Misamis Oriental. It is another booming city, considered as the Gateway to the Northern Mindanao region. This city serves as the converging point of domestic and foreign tourists, with the coastal neighboring towns dotted with many fine beaches, most of them preserved in their natural state.
Cagayan de Oro City enjoys comparative advantage, being strategically located almost at the center of the region. It is only about 475 miles from Manila, which can be reached either by plane or by boat.
